The ATMODAT standard aims at improving the FAIRness of atmospheric model data published with a DataCite DOI in repositories. The ATMODAT standard contains requirements for the standardisation of the data files, the DOI metadata and the landing page. The use of standardised words or phrases (controlled vocabularies), the specification of a minimum set of mandatory metadata and the integration of structured data into the DOI landing page are central points of the ATMODAT standard.
